Pengolahan Sampah Terpadu Desa Karangkates Untuk Mencapai Zero Waste

Show more

“…Wastewater treatment aims to protect the environment, unfortunately, based on a study in Bandung, Indonesia [1], most tofu factories do not have any liquid waste treatment plants and discharge their liquid waste into small canals that flow directly into the rivers. Previous research found tofu liquid waste samples have the following characteristics: pH of 4.06, cloudy white color, temperature of 33.8 °C, biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5) of 3.2 mg/L, chemical oxygen demand (COD) of 1,200 mg/L, total solids (TS) of 9,490 mg/L, total suspended solids (TSS) of 410 mg/L, total dissolved solids (TDS) of 4.190 mg/L, and total nitrogen of 8.74-93.7 mg/L [6,7]. Parameters that are not following the quality standards are pH, COD, TSS, TDS, and total nitrogen [8].…”

“…Filtration is the process of separating solids from fluids. In the domestic sewage treatment process, the purpose of filtration is to remove suspended and colloidal particles by filtering them with filter media [5]. Wastewater passes through 3 stages of filtration, including: a) Sludge filter (F301): at this stage, a sack is used as a filtering medium so that the sludge is retained in the sack and clean water can pass through to the next stage b) Water filter (F302): at this stage, a cartridge filter is used so that impurities that have a small size can be retained and clean water can pass c) Carbon filter (F303): Carbon works by absorption or adsorption.…”
