Pengolahan Limbah Cair Laboratorium dengan Adsorpsi dan Pretreatment Netralisasi dan Koagulasi

Abstract: The liquid waste of the UNIPA Surabaya Environmental Engineering laboratory has not fulfilled the requirements of the Minister of Environment Regulation Number 5 of 2014, so it needs to be processed so as not to pollute the Environment. This study aims to examine the effect of the coagulant dose of Poly Alum Chloride (PAC) on decreasing Pb, Cr, and TDS, assessing the quality of wastewater after neutralization, coagulation and adsorption for Pb, Cr, TDS, and pH parameters especially. The variables of this study… Show more

“…When the anode oxidizes, Al 3+ ions are created, which react with OH-ions produced at the cathode to form Al (OH)3 as a coagulant. The Al(OH)3 destabilizes the colloids that cause turbidity and combine to create flocs [39]. The addition of alum coagulant to the dug well water helps the dug well water components decompose and form suspended elements that form flocs that rise to the water surface aided by hydrogen gas from the electrocoagulation process, creating two layers in the water with impurities on top and clean water on the bottom [40].…”

“…The higher the dose of PAC and AS coagulant added, the higher the percentage of metal reduction. This increase was because the more coagulants were added, the more flocs formed (Nurhayati et al, 2018). Therefore, more metal can be separated from the wastewater.…”
