Pengolahan Limbah Cair Emulsi Minyak dengan Proses Membran Ultrafiltrasi Dua-tahap Aliran Cross-flow

Abstract: Abstrak. Show more

“…According to Asadiya and Karnaningroem [23], this was due to zeolite and activated charcoal being able to adsorb organic substances contained in waste. As organic matter decreases, the COD value also decreases, then the decrease in COD is supported by the absorption capacity of the silica sand used and supported by the role of the pore morphology of the membrane formed [24] as shown in Figure 2. The concentration of COD in the waste is also due to the high oil content, so that with the ultrafiltration treatment of the membrane, macromolecules are retained in the membrane against suspended solids and dissolved solids.…”

“…g. h (1) Where, Ph is the hydrostatic pressure (Pa), ρ is the density of the substance (kg.m3), g is the gravitational velocity (m/s2) and h is the height (m). Next, calculate the flux which is the volume of permeate that passes through a unit area of the membrane in a certain time in the presence of a thrust (pressure) [15]. Systematically the flux is formulated as follows [16].…”

“…Consequently, there was no reduction of KMnO4 in RRWH. Presumably, it was due to the size of KMnO4 molecule is smaller than a void in zeolite and a lower percentage of zeolite (T2) in filter media, and therefore the organic substances particles can pass the filter media (18). Whilst the concentration of KMnO4 in T4 and T5 decreased from 6.5 mgl -1 to 5.2 mgl -1 (19.4%) and from 7.8 mgl -1 to 5.1 mgl -1 (35%) respectively.…”
