Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive due to malnutrition for a long time so that children are shorter than normal children their age. Stunting is not only caused by one factor but by many factors. The prevalence of stunting at the Landasan Ulin Health Center continued to increase from 2018 (16.0%), 2019 (21.89%) and 2020 (22.26%). Objective: To determine the relationship between maternal knowledge, parenting and household food security status with the incidence of stunting in children aged 6-23 months in the working area of the Landasan Ulin Health Center, Banjarbaru City. Methods: This type of research is an observational analytic study with a Cohort Retrospective design. The population of this study was all children aged 6-23 months in the working area of ??the Landasan Ulin Health Center and a sample of 92 children using the purposive sampling technique. Results: The knowledge of the mothers of children under two years was in the less category (47.8%), the parenting pattern for the children was in the sufficient category (39.1%), the household food security status was mostly classified as food insecure (42.4%) and the children who experienced stunting were less (40.2%) . Conclusions: There is a relationship between mother's knowledge, parenting, and household food security status with the incidence of stunting in children aged 6-23 months in the working area of ??the Landasan Ulin Health Center.

Stunting is a chronic malnutrition problem caused by inadequate nutritional intake for a long time. Babies need adequate nutritional intake to prevent stunting. Education on the preparation of MP-ASI can be done through animated videos and leaflets. The study aimed to determine the effect of education using animated videos and leaflets to increase knowledge of mothers who have toddlers aged 4-5 months about the preparation for giving complementary feeding to prevent stunting. The study was conducted at the Payung Sekaki Health Center. This study used a quasi-experimental with one group pre-postest design and data analysis using a paired T-test. The number of samples were 86 respondents. Education using animated videos and leaflets has an effect on increasing the knowledge of mothers who had babies aged 4-5 months to prepare complementary feeding (p-value <0.05). Health education using animated videos and leaflets could increase mother’s knowledge to prepare complementary feeding for babies aged 4-5 months. As one of the locus of stunting prevention in Takalar Regency, Bontokassi Village has 20 stunted children in February 2021 with 16 stunted categories and 4 severe stunted categories. Physical and non-physical interventions are carried out to prevent stunting, such as distributing booklets of six healthy behaviors, distributing IFA supplements (TTD), and nutritional counseling. This activity aimed to increase knowledge and awareness of pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers about stunting, and increase the coverage of iron supplement intake for pregnant women and adolescent girls. The results of the counseling showed that 21.7% of participants experienced an increase in knowledge after the intervention. A total of 21 targets received iron supplements, consisting of three pregnant women and 18 young women. Each target is given four TTD to drink once a week. This intervention activity needs to be carried out on an ongoing basis by Puskesmas officers assisted by Posyandu cadres in order to overcome the stunting problem in this area. ABSTRAK Sebagai salah satu lokus pencegahan stunting di Kabupaten Takalar, Desa Bontokassi memiliki 20 balita stunting pada Februari 2021 dengan kategori pendek sebanyak 16 balita dan empat kategori sangat pendek. Intervensi fisik dan non fisik dilakukan untuk mencegah stunting, seperti membagikan booklet enam perilaku sehat, membagikan suplemen tablet tambah darah (TTD), dan penyuluhan gizi. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran ibu hamil dan ibu menyusui tentang stunting, dan meningkatkan cakupan asupan suplemen TTD pada ibu hamil dan remaja putri. Hasil penyuluhan menunjukkan bahwa 21,7% partisipan mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan setelah intervensi. Sebanyak 21 sasaran mendapatkan suplemen TTD, terdiri dari tiga ibu hamil dan 18 remaja putri. Setiap sasaran diberikan empat TTD untuk diminum satu kali dalam sepekan. Kegiatan intervensi ini perlu dilakukan secara berkelanjutan oleh petugas Puskesmas dibantu oleh kader Posyandu dalam rangka mengatasi masalah stunting di daerah ini.
