The Covid-19 pandemic has brought restraints into people's activities. Consequently, during the pandemic, the school guidance and counseling services should be conducted online. Therefore, this study seeks to identify the types of online media frequently used by school counselors in classical guidance and individual or group counseling, as well as the rationale. This descriptive quantitative study involved 106 school counselors and used an Online Media Usage questionnaire to obtain the data. The results suggest that Google Form and Google Classroom have become the most used applications in classical guidance, while WhatsApp is the most popular application for individual or group counseling. These applications are selected due to the limited internet access, students' technological literacy, students' financial state, and privacy assurance, primarily for the counseling process. Therefore, the school counselors mainly provide asynchronous rather than synchronous services during the Covid-19 pandemic. Besides, these results can be the foundation for online guidance and counseling services development.

Technological developments brings changes counseling with its use as a long distance counseling medium. This research about this topic emerged in Indonesia. There are several research studied about researches on the topic. However, they studied the telecounseling's scientific literature in English and give no picture about the topic development in the scientific world of Indonesia. For that reason, the researcher in this study will examined the scientific literature on the topic in Indonesian to overview the development of research on telecounseling. Researcher examined Indonesian-language scientific sources indexed in Sinta under the counseling subject. The process found 41 Indonesia accredited journal on counseling. In the journals we discovered 10 articles and then reviewed them. It is found that the research on telecounseling in Indonesia developed to the level of describing detailed media or method used in telecounseling. However, the research about it's effectiveness undeveloped..

The purpose of this study was to discuss the ethical role of the guidance and counseling profession, especially the principle of confidentiality in the implementation of online counseling. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative literature review that examines several scientific articles accompanied by the results of interviews and previous research results. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study explain that counselors have an ethical responsibility to explain the meaning of confidentiality in group counseling. The principle of confidentiality is important considering that the professional ethics of the counselor pays more attention to the privacy of the counselee, because it will involve comfort and security in receiving counseling services. In the implementation of online counseling, counselors can anticipate the possibility of unwanted violations by making efforts such as: (1) Conducting interviews and evaluations when forming groups, (2) Conducting in-depth observations when providing classical services in the classroom, (3) Grouping individuals who voluntarily and voluntarily participate in group activities, (4) Giving informed consent containing personal data, applicable rules, and cooperation agreements which contain the privacy security of themselves and other members, (5) Members affix their signatures on the under a statement about what they will accept if they do not fulfill it.
