Mathematics plays a crucial role in facilitating students to develop various skills in the 21 st century. It is important for teachers to adapt instructional models and tools based on the characteristics of the current generation. The objective of this research is to describe the process and outcomes of developing project-based learning materials on 7th-grade statistics that are valid, practical, and effective. This study utilized the Plomp development model, which consisted of preliminary research, prototyping phase, and assessment phase. The research subjects were divided into two schemes: the micro-evaluation test involves two teachers, each teaching six students in 7th-grade, while the try-out test involved one teacher teaching 32 students in 7th-grade at one of junior high schools in Surabaya. The research instruments used include validation sheets, questionnaires, implementation feasibility sheets, and learning outcome assessments. Data analysis techniques were employed to determine the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Based on the conducted research, the project achieved high validity criteria, with 91.8%, 91.1%, and 97.78% for the instructional module and 95.2%, 93.6%, and 96% for the project worksheets through validation test. The project-based learning materials also met expected practicality criteria by walkthrough test and actual practicality, with 86.36% for micro-class 1 and 85.79% for micro-class 2. Furthermore, the effectiveness criteria were met as the try-out class achieved a classical mastery level of 87.5%.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul pembelajaran matematika materi statistika kelas IV yang valid, praktis dan untuk mengetahui keefektifan modul yang telah dikembangkan. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara didapatkan bahwa peserta didik tidak dapat memahami materi secara mandiri harus dengan penjelasan dari pendidik yang secara berulang-ulang, dan pendidik menyatakan bahwa hasil belajar peserta didik masih rendah, sehingga perlu dikembangkannya bahan ajar untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran yaitu modul. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian dan pengembangan, mengacu pada pengembangan model 4-D yang dibatasi menjadi 3-D dengan tiga tahapan yaitu (1) Define (pendefinisian). (2) Design (perancangan). (3) Develop (pengembangan). Penelitian bertempat di SDN 195 Palembang. Subjek penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas IV SD. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan instrumen penilaian validasi modul, instrumen penilaian kepraktisan (guru), instrumen penilaian kepraktisan (peserta didik), dan data hasil tes soal peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan mendapatkan presentase 96,09% dengan kategori ’’sangat valid’’. Hasil penilaian kepraktisan (guru) mendapatkan 92,64% dengan kategori ’’sangat praktis’’. Hasil uji skala kecil mendapatkan presentase 90,41%. Hasil tes soal peserta didik mendapatkan presentase 88,88% dengan kategori ’’sangat efektif’’. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul pembelajaran matematika materi statistika kelas IV SD termasuk ke dalam modul yang valid, praktis, dan efektif

The aims of this study were (1) to find out the needs of lecturers and students in an Indonesian language course that applies project-based learning and (2) to develop a guideline for Indonesian language module based on project-based learning. This research development adapted from Dick & Carey (2009) and Branch ( 2009) models, which consists of seven stages: conducting needs analysis, writing syllabus and lesson plan, developing the first draft, evaluating, revising, trying out, and developing the final draft. The draft of the product was validated by expert validators. The result of experts is 3.50 and the result of lecturers' evaluation is 3.65. Both of these results can be classified as "very good" category, which means that they agreed with the product. The students'feedback also were used to know their agreement of the project given. The calculated mean value is 3.73, which is higher than the required threshold of >3.5, so that the result is categorized as "very good". It can be concluded that the guideline of the Indonesian language module based on project-based learning is applicaple.
