Pengaruh Variabel Moneter Terhadap Indeks Harga Saham Sektor Keuangan

Abstract

The financial crisis that occurred in 2008 resulted in a decline in the IHSG and also the exchange rate of the rupiah against the US dollar soared drastically. In addition, the Covid-19 pandemic entered Indonesia in 2020. At that time, GDP and also the IHSG experienced a decline. All sectors experienced a decline but the financial sector experienced an increase. In addition, the financial sector is the key to boosting the economy. The monetary variables used in this study are the reference interest rate, inflation, the money supply, and the USD/IDR exchange rate. This study was conducted to analyze the effect of Interest Rates, Inflation, Money Supply, and the USD/IDR Exchange Rate on the Financial Sector Stock Price Index partially and simultaneously with quantitative research methods and secondary data types from 2008 to 2020 on a monthly basis. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis tools. This study obtained the results that the Reference Interest Rate and Inflation variables to the Financial Sector Stock Price Index showed no effect. However, the variable Amount of Money in the Financial Sector Stock Price Index shows a significant positive effect and the Exchange Rate variable on the Financial Sector Stock Price Index shows a significant negative effect.Keywords: financial sector stock price index; interest rate; inflation; money supply; exchange rate.ABSTRAKKrisis keuangan yang terjadi pada tahun 2008 mengakibatan IHSG mengalami penurunan dan juga nilai kurs rupiah terhadap US dollar melonjak dratis. Selain itu, Pandemi Covid-19 memasuki indonesia pada tahun 2020. Pada saat itu PDB dan juga IHSG mengalami penurunan. Seluruh sektor mengalami penurunan namun sektor keuangan mengalami kenaikan. Selain itu sektor keuangan menjadi kunci untuk meningkatkan perekonomian. Variabel moneter yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini yakni suku bunga acuan, inflasi, jumlah uang beredar, dan kurs USD/IDR. Dilakukannya penelitian ini guna menganalisis pengaruh Suku Bunga, Inflasi, Jumlah Uang Beredar, dan Kurs USD/IDR kepada Indeks Harga Saham Sektor Keuangan secara parsial dan simultan dengan metode penelitian kuantitatif serta jenis datanya data sekunder dari tahun 2008 hingga tahun 2020 secara bulanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat analisis regresi linear berganda. Penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil yakni variabel Suku Bunga Acuan dan Inflasi kepada Indeks Harga Saham Sektor Keuangan menunjukkan tidak adanya pengaruh. Namun variabel Jumlah Uang Beredar kepada Indeks Harga Saham Sektor Keuangan menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang positif signifikan serta variabel Kurs kepada Indeks Harga Saham Sektor Keuangan menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang negatif signifikan.Kata Kunci: indeks harga saham sektor keuangan; suku bunga; inflasi; jumlah uang beredar; kurs.
