Background: The number of new HIV/AIDs infection has been increasing around the world. A way to decrease this problem is by increasing people awareness through giving health education. Based on some preliminary research, communities in Pondong Baru Village have not enough knowledge about HIV/AIDS.Objective: This study aims to know the effectiveness of health education improving HIV/AIDS knowledge among low income people in Pondong Baru Village.Methods: This research was quasy experimental with pre post-test one group only, conducted in Pondong Baru Village, Paser, East Kalimantan, on 13th December 2021. The population of this research were people in Pondong Baru Village with low income. The sample were as many as 31 peoples selected by purposive sampling. Data collect using questionnaires and the analysis used Wilcoxon signed rank test with SPSS IBM 25 version.Result: Respondents’ classified based on age groups is undefined (9,7 %), 20-40 years old (35,5 %), and >40 years old (54,8 %). Then, respondents’ education levels is no education (16,1 %), primary school (74,2 %), and junior high school (9,7%). Lastly, respondents’ parity is primipara (4,85 %), multipara (90,3 %), nullipara (4,85%). Before intervention, respondents had under average knowledge (93,5) and upper average knowledge (6,5%). After intervention, all respondents’ had upper average knowledge. Knowledge level after intervention (Mean:12.32; SD: 1.05) was higher than before intervention (Mean: 0.32; SD: 1.27) and it was statistically significant (P < 0.001).Conclusion: It can be concluded that health education is effective in improving HIV/AIDS knowledge among low income people in Pondong Baru Village.

Lack of adolescent knowledge about sexually transmitted diseases and their dangers, especially to health and the role of peers, which contributes badly to the increase in sexually transmitted diseases, especially among adolescents. This study aims to determine the relationship between adolescent knowledge and the role of peers with the prevention of sexually transmitted infections at SMA Negeri 1 Tomohon. The research design uses an analytic survey with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique with probability sampling is simple random sampling on a sample of 92 teenagers. Data analysis used the Chi Square statistical test. The results showed that most adolescent knowledge was in the good knowledge category with a percentage of 57.6%, the role of peers was mostly in the good role category with a percentage of 63% and the prevention of sexually transmitted infections was mostly in the good prevention category with a percentage of 52.2 %. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between adolescent knowledge and the prevention of sexually transmitted infections at SMA Negeri 1 Tomohon. There is a relationship between the role of peers and the prevention of sexually transmitted infections at SMA Negeri 1 Tomohon. It is recommended to increase the role of counseling guidance through health education to add insight into knowledge so as to change the behavior of adolescents in preventing sexually transmitted infections and for adolescents to seek information about infectious diseases from various information media sources, to be active in various positive activities such as extracurricular activities held at school or other activities. other social activities and hang out with friends who have good behavior.

“…Education can be done in various ways, such as through guidance and counseling, small groups such as brainstorming, snowballing, roleplay, and small discussion groups, and also large groups such as lectures and seminars (Purwasi, 2021). According to Rahmawati & Elsanti, 2020, in their research which aimed to assess the effectiveness of the lecture and SGD method on reproductive health on the level of knowledge and attitude of teenagers, it was explained that the SGD method was effective for increasing knowledge. Supplementary Feeding (SF) is a program providing additional food to groups in need of nutritional supplements, especially malnourished children. For malnourished children, food provision is one way to prevent growth and developmental problems. This study aims to evaluate the effect of health education on supplementary feeding using the SGD method on parental behavior. This research method employs a pre-experimental design with a One Group Pre-Post Test approach involving 32 parent respondents with children exhibiting poor or inadequate nutrition status at the Integrated Health Post for Toddlers “Posyandu Balita”. This research use Parrent Behaviour Questionnaire (PBQ). The PBQ is a 38 item self-report instrument which assesses the importance of specific parenting behaviors, this questionnaire showing a valid and reliable (Cronbach’s α > 0.7) structure. The Wilcoxon Test yielded a result of p = 0.000021 with a significance level of p < 0.05, indicating an impact on parental behavior in providing SF at the Integrated Health Post for Toddlers. Health education through the SGD method enhances parental understanding of the importance of SF consumption for toddlers. Through the SDG method, parents can share experiences and increase awareness of the importance of providing supplementary feeding, particularly to toddlers experiencing malnutrition. It is hoped that this research will encourage parents to be more proactive in meeting the nutritional needs of their children.
