There is an issue concerning the low understanding of students regarding the concepts of surface area and volume of a sphere. Innovative learning media system is needed to increase students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This study aims to analyze the effect of the use of the Flip PDF Corporate e-module on students’ understanding of the concept of surface area and volume of a sphere. This quantitative research study used a quasi-experimental method with the Pretest - Posttest Control Group Design. The data collection techniques in this research include tests, questionnaires, and observations. The population of this study consists of sixth-grade students from State Elementary School. The research sample includes 15 students from the experimental group and 13 students from the control group, all of whom are from the sixth grade of State Elementary School. The experimental group received treatment in the form of the Flip PDF Corporate e-module and the control group was only given textbooks. The test instrument consisted of 10 multiple-choice questions. Data were analyzed using T-test with the help of the SPSS software. The results of the T-test are in the Sig column. (2-tailed) showed a significant p-value of 0.024. This indicates that H0 is rejected and there is a significant difference in the post-test results between the experimental and the control groups. In other words, the use of Flip PDF Corporate e-module affects the student’s ability to understand the concepts of surface area and volume of a sphere in the sixth grade of State Elementary School.

The research aims to determine whether: (1) there is an effect of contextual learning and direct learning on student learning outcomes, (2) the learning outcomes of students who have high initial abilities are better than those of students with moderate or low initial abilities, and (3)) there is an interaction between the learning model and students' initial abilities on learning outcomes. The research method used is quantitative research methods. This research was conducted at SMP N 2 Padangsidimpuan with a sample of 2 classes, namely class IX-10 with 26 students and class IX - 9 with 28 students. Both classes were given a preliminary ability test and a final test in the form of essay questions. After the research data is obtained, the hypothesis is tested by two-way ANOVA. From the results of the ANOVA calculation, it was concluded that: (1) The direct learning model and the contextual learning model had a significant influence on student learning outcomes, seen from the value of F count = 4.132 > F table = 4.03, (2) The learning outcomes of students who have High initial ability is better than the learning outcomes of students who have moderate or low initial abilities in the curved side space material, seen from the value of F count = 61.634 > F table = 4.03, and (3) there is no interaction between the learning model and the ability The beginning of the student learning outcomes in the curved side space material, seen from the value of F count = 0.052 < F table = 4.03.

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan pembelajaran Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep Matematika Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Takengon. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Takengon dengan total jumlah siswa 116, dan terdiri dari 5 kelas. Cara pengambilan sampel peneliti menggunakan purposive sampling untuk menunjuk kelas tertentu sebagai sampel, dan didapatkan kelas yang menjadi sampel adalah kelas VIII4 sebanyak 24 siswa. Desain penelitian menggunakan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest Design Penggumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara tes dan observasi, sedangkan untuk pengukurannya menggunakan uji hipotesis dengan uji-t untuk melihat pengaruh. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan di dapat nilai > atau 48,606 > 2,068, maka Ha diterima. Artinya terdapat pengaruh secara signifikan menggunakan Pendekatan Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Takengon
