According to the 2012 IDHS, it was noted that prolonged labor by 38.2% was the main cause of maternal and perinatal death, followed by bleeding 35.26% and eclampsia 16.44%. Prolonged parturition can result in an emergency for both mother and baby. In mothers it can cause bleeding, shock and death, while in infants it can cause fetal distress, asphyxia and caput. One of the efforts to prevent prolonged labor is to use the Rebozo Relaxation Technique which supports labor so that it can run physiologically. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of rebozo relaxation on the length of labor in Primipara mothers. This type of research uses a Quasi Experimental Design research design with a Non-Equivalent Control Group research design. The sample in this study was 40 respondents divided by 20 people in the control group and 20 in the experimental group. Data collection using T-Test and Mann Whitney Test. The results of the study obtained p value (0.00) <α (0.005). With a frequency of 4-8 times and a duration of 20-45 minutes with an intensity of 85%-95%, the total length of labor in the experimental group averaged 334.50 minutes (5.57 hours) and the non-experimental group averaged 478, 75 minutes (7.79 hours). Suggestion for applying Rebozo Relaxation to Mothers of Inpartum Primigravida Stage I Active Phase to prevent prolonged labor and reduce oxytocin injection for primigravida.

Indonesia's Health Profile in 2019 in general, there was a decrease in maternal mortality during the period 1991-2015 from 390 to 305 per 100,000 live births, if it is associated with the 2015 Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), namely reducing the maternal mortality rate (MMR) to 102/100,000 live births. the maternal mortality rate did not reach the MDGs target. Physiological efforts are made to prevent prolonged labor, such as pelvic rocking exercise using the birthing ball technique. This is also a method that really helps respond to pain in an active way and reduces the length of the first stage of labor in the active phase. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of pelvic rocking with a birthing ball on the progress of labor in primiparous women in 2020. This study uses Systematic Literature Reviews (SLR), which is a synthesis of systematic, clear, comprehensive literature studies, by identifying, analyzing , evaluating through the collection of existing data with an explicit search method and involving a critical review process in the selection of studies. In 6 journals, all journals perform pelvic rocking exercise techniques using the birthing ball technique when the mother enters the first stage of the active phase. The conclusion in this study is that all journals reviewed by researchers can be ascertained that all of these journals get the same results, namely stating that using the Pelvic Rocking Exercise technique with the help of a birthing ball can make delivery times for mothers go faster

During labor, mothers frequently report having excruciating contractions that continue for hours or even days. An assistive gadget is required to expedite labor and aid in the baby's head drop. The Zelisken Ball, an invention of the research group, is a bolster-shaped ball used in basic exercises or physical care. The study aimed to determine whether using the Zelisken Ball could shorten the time pregnant mothers spend in the first stage of labor. Pregnant women's level of comfort and satisfaction while using it, along with its effects on each delivery stage, were highlighted. Using a control group, the study used a quantitative methodology and a quasi-experimental post-test-only design. Purposive sampling was employed to identify 50 postpartum patients for the sample. The Zelisken Ball was utilized by the intervention group in this study, while the Peanut Ball was used by the control group. Questionnaires were used to gather data, and SPSS software was implemented to perform an Independent Sample t-test to determine differences between the two groups. The mothers who utilized the Zelisken Ball advanced through the first stage of labor more quickly, according to the data, with a difference of 1.29 hours (77.4 minutes) between them and the control group (8.3 hours) who used the Peanut Ball. The results of the data analysis indicate that mothers who used the Zelisken Ball and those who utilized the Peanut Ball had significantly different first-stage labor durations (p-value of 0.026, <0.05). As a result, the Zelisken Ball shows great promise as a useful tool for accelerating the early stage of labor. The research has been modified to create Zelisken, which is two-thirds the size of a peanut ball and has an indentation of ½ on the ball. The outer material of Zelisken is made of Oscar fabric, and the inside is filled with foam, whereas the peanut ball is made of PVC and has an interior filled with air. Future research, however, needs to increase the sample size to include a wider range of respondents to strengthen the findings' generalizability.
