Pengaruh Model Learning Cycle Terhadap Penguasaan Konsep Siswa Pada Materi Sistem Ekskresi Di Kelas Xi Ipa Sma Nurul Falah Pekanbaru

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Learning Cycle terhadap penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi sistem ekskresi di kelas XI IPA SMA Nurul Falah Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April 2014. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen The Matching only Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA1 dan XI IPA2, dengan teknik pengambilan total sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa t-test. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pretest, posttest dan observasi. Rerata N-Gain kelas eksperimen 0,60 kategori sedang, sedangkan kelas kontrol 0,49 kategori sedang. Dari hasil Uji-t terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Rerata aktivitas guru kelas eksperimen pertemuan I dan II 100% kelas kontrol pertemuan I dan II 100%. Rerata aktivitas siswa kelas ekperimen pertemuan I 96,40%, II 98,20% dan kelas kontrol pertemuan I 80% II 70%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model Learning Cycle terhadap peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa serta dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar guru dan siswa pada materi sistem ekskresi di kelas XI IPA SMA Nurul Falah Pekanbaru Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014
