Metacognition and critical thinking skills are essential elements in creating good quality and competitive humans in the future. Therefore, this study aims to describe students' metacognitive abilities and critical thinking skills in Integrated Islamic Junior High School in Jambi. The writer uses a quantitative approach in this study and survey techniques to collect the data. There are 200 students from various Integrated Islamic Junior High Schools in Jambi involved in this study. After validating the data through validated instruments, the research reveals that: (1) The highest metacognitive ability of students at the Integrated Islamic Junior High School is in Procedural Knowledge (PK), which is an average value of 7.4 in the "good" category. Cognition Management (P) and Management of Information Management (IMS), with an average score of 6.6 and 6.5, respectively, are in a suitable category. The lowest metacognitive ability is the ability of self-evaluation ability (3,1) in the "low" category, while other abilities are in the "medium" category, (2) the critical thinking ability of students at Integrated Islamic Junior High School in Jambi is relatively good. As many as three of the five measured aspects are in the "good" category, and the rest (two aspects) are in the "medium" category. Thus, no aspect is measured to have the ability with the "low" category. In general, it shows that students' critical thinking on average at the Integrated Islamic Junior High School in Jambi have good critical thinking skills.

The habit of students procrastinating on assignments given by the teacher is one of the habits that need to be eliminated. It happened because of the need for more confidence in students in their abilities. This study aims to analyze the influence of independent learning and the character of students' learning responsibility on the competence of mathematics knowledge of fifth-grade elementary school students. This type of research is ex-post facto with a correlational research design. The population used in this study amounted to 116 students. Sampling is based on the existing population using a proportional random sampling technique to obtain a total sample of 92 people. The data was collected using a questionnaire instrument and document recording methods. The statistical analysis used is simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. The simple linear regression analysis results for testing hypotheses I and II show a significant effect of learning independence on the competency of mathematical knowledge and a significant effect of the character of learning responsibility on the competence of mathematical knowledge. The multiple linear regression analysis results showed a significant effect of learning independence and the character of student learning responsibility on the competence of mathematics knowledge of fifth-grade students in elementary school. It was concluded that there was a significant influence of learning independence and the character of students' learning responsibility on the competence of mathematics knowledge of fifth-grade elementary school students.

This study aims to determine the effect of metacognition and scientific attitudes of family partners in forming a sakinah family. The approach used in this research is descriptive quantitative, which is done by measuring each research variable, then analyzing and describing it so that it is easy to understand. The technique of collecting data is done by survey. Surveys were carried out on all samples in the study to measure metacognition, scientific attitude, and success in forming a sakinah mawaddah warahmah family. The population of this study is women who are grouped into two categories: 1) career women (who work in offices/employees), 2) unemployed women (especially those taking care of the family) in the city of Jambi with a total sample of 100 (50 people in each sample group) taken at random. The instrument used in this study was a set of 30 questions. The answers were measured by respondents using a Likert scale. Dataanalysis was carried out using SPSS 16 software. The results showed thatmetacognition ability significantly affects the ability to form a sakinah mawaddah warahmah family with a sig. 0.012 (career women group) and 0.000 (non-career women group). As for the scientific attitude test, career women obtained 0.031 0.05, and non-career women obtained 0.019 0.05. It shows that scientific attitude significantly affects their ability to form a sakinah mawaddah warahmah family. The F test also shows that the two variables jointly affect the ability to form a sakinah mawadah warahmah family
