Pengaruh Media Edukasi E-book Covid-19 Terhadap Pengetahuan dan Sikap Mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Malang

Abstract

Covid-19 confirmed cases in Malang City as of May 7, 2021 have reached 6,468 cases. Malang has an awful lot of colleges, one of which is Malang State University. Malang State University has 30,184 active students. College students are generally stretched to 18-25 years old, where the age range is 19–30 years old with the second highest positive case in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of the application of e-book education media on the knowledge and attitudes of college students related to the Covid-19 pandemic. This study was a quantitative study with the design of experimental research and Wilcoxon test as his hypothetical test. The population in this study was Malang State University students and the sample was Malang State University students of the 2014-2020 class who had never read e-books used as intervention media. The researcher used volunteer sampling and obtained as many as 125 respondents. Based on this study obtained the results that the Covid-19 e-book education medium had an effect on the knowledge and attitude of college students with a probability score of 0.000. However if the 2 variables were tested separately, results were obtained that the Covid-19 e-book educational medium could affect knowledge but have no effect on attitude.
 Abstrak: Kasus konfirmasi Covid-19 di Kota Malang per 7 Mei 2021 telah mencapai 6.468 kasus. Malang memiliki banyak sekali perguruan tinggi, salah satunya adalah Universitas Negeri Malang. Universitas Negeri Malang memiliki 30.184 mahasiswa aktif. Mahasiswa pada umumnya berada direntang usia 18-25 tahun, yang dimana rentang usia 19-30 tahun merupakan rentang usia dengan kasus positif tertinggi kedua di Indonesia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan media edukasi e-book Covid-19 terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap mahasiswa terkait pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan rancangan penelitian eksperimental dan uji Wilcoxon sebagai uji hipotesisnya. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Malang dan sampelnya adalah mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Malang angkatan 2014-2020 yang belum pernah membaca e-book yang digunakan sebagai media intervensi. Peneliti menggunakan volunteer sampling dan mendapatkan responden sebanyak 125 responden. Berdasarkan penelitian ini didapatkan hasil bahwa media edukasi e-book Covid-19 berpengaruh terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap mahasiswa dengan nilai probabilitas 0,000. Namun jika 2 variabel tersebut diuji secara terpisah, maka didapatkan hasil bahwa media edukasi e-book Covid-19 dapat mempengaruhi pengetahuan namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap sikap.
