Background: Decubitus ulcers occur due to prolonged pressure and friction on the skin, especially in the bone protrusion area which causes decreased blood circulation then the local tissue is ischemic, hypoxic, and develops into necrosis causing decubitus ulcers. The most effective nursing interventions to prevent decubitus ulcers is massage. Objective: This literature review aims to find out the type of massage in the prevention of decubitus ulcers in bedrest patients. Method: The research method uses PRISMA with a systematic approach and selection process. Library sources are searched from Scopus, ProQuest, Pubmed, Scient Direct, Ebsco, and Google Scholar databases. Result: Based on the analysis through literature review, determined that the most widely used research is quasi-experimental design, the most widely used type of massage is effluerage, the risk of decubitus ulcers most ≥ 40 years of age with 115 respondents (95%), the percentage of patients was 71 female (54.7%) and 59 men (45.3%). Conclusion: The conclusion of the most widely used type of massage is effleurage, duration of giving massage varies between 3-5 minutes, given twice a day using virgin coconut oil at 5 ml. Demographic factors associated with the risk of decubitus ulcers are age, body mass index (BMI), and bedrest patients

Background: Decubitus ulcers are damage/death of the skin to the tissue under the skin, if not treated immediately it will be one of the factors a person dies. The prevalence of decubitus in America is around 25%, in Europe it is 10.5% and in England it is from 6.7% to 42.7%, and in Indonesia as a whole it is 33%.The implementation of preventing decubitus pharmacologically, one of which is by rubbing massage on the back which is called massage efflurage. Purpose: to determine whether there is an effect of massage efflurage on decubitus prevention. Method: this type of research is descriptive with a case study. The application was carried out on 2 patients selected by purposive sampling method with inclusion and exclusion criteria. This efflurage massage is carried out for 4-5 minutes 2x/day for 3 days. The research instrument used SOP massage efflurage by doing massage by applying a little rubbing pressure, observation sheets and informed consent. Results: from the results of observations made for 3 days on 2 respondents Ny. S and Mr. M indicates that the braden scale increases from day 2 and 3, which means that there is a reduced risk of developing decubitus in 2 respondents. Conclusion: there is an effect of VCO efflurage massage to prevent pressure sores in patients in the ICU.

Pressure ulcer merupakan cedera pada kulit atau jaringan yang ada dibawahnya (biasanya diatas penonjolan tulang) sebagai akibat dari tekanan dan gesekan. Luka tekan dapat menimbulkan infeksi, rasa nyeri dan dampak psiokologis pada pasien. Pijat effleurage menggunakan virgin coconut oil mampu menurunkan pressure ulcer. Studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penurunan pressure ulcer menggunakan pijat effleurage menggunakan virgin coconut oil. Desain studi kasus ini menggunakan deskriptif. Subjek studi kasus ini adalah pasien dengan diagnosa medis stroke non hemoragic dengan risiko tinggi pressure ulcer yang melakukan Rawat Inap. Subjek studi kasus ini terdiri dari 2 pasien yang didapatkan secara random. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam studi kasus ini menggunakan Braden Scale dan indikator gangguan integritas kulit dengan pengambilan data sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan perlakuan Pijat effleurage menggunakan virgin coconut oil dua kali sehari dalam waktu 20 menit selama 4 hari. Berdasarkan hasil studi kasus didapatkan terjadi penurunan pressure ulcer antara sebelum dan setelah diberikan intervensi Pijat effleurage menggunakan virgin coconut oil pada kedua subjek studi kasus dengan rata-rata skore braden scale 10,5 (risiko tinggi) menjadi 16,5 (risiko rendah), sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada penerapan pijat effleurage menggunakan virgin coconut oil dapat menurunkan risiko pressure ulcer pada pasien dengan stroke non hemoragic.
