This research explores the intricate relationship between compensation, motivation, and employee performance within the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office of North Aceh Regency. Through a quantitative approach employing multiple and simple linear regression analyses with SPSS, the study investigates the impact of compensation and motivation on employee performance, using a sample of 60 employees selected through random sampling. The findings indicate that both compensation and motivation significantly contribute to heightened employee performance, constituting crucial elements for organizational success. The compensation regression coefficient is 0.569, affirming that increased compensation positively influences employee performance. Similarly, the motivational regression coefficient is 1.022, suggesting that heightened motivation positively impacts employee performance. The study underscores the theoretical significance of recognizing compensation and motivation as pivotal factors in human resource management. Practical implications include the need for well-structured compensation systems and effective motivational strategies to optimize employee performance. Despite these contributions, caution is advised in generalizing findings, and future research could delve into additional factors influencing employee performance for a more comprehensive understanding in the public sector.

Masalah kinerja karyawan tidak diperhatikan dengan baik, akan menimbulkan complain dari para tamu dan kesan buruk pada hotel. Keberadaan sumber daya manusia di dalam suatu perusahaan memegang peranan sangat penting. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kinerja karyawan food and beverage department di Pangeran Beach Hotel Padang. Penelitian ini berjenis deskriptif kuantitatif. Variabel penelitian ini yaitu Kinerja Karyawan yang merupakan variabel mandiri. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh sebanyak 35 orang karyawan Food and Beverage Department. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menghitung skor KPI pada rapor kinerja karyawan Food and Beverage Department di Hotel Pangeran Beach Padang. Data yang diperoleh akan dikelompokkan sesuai indikator yang digunakan, dan direkap menggunakan bantuan Microsoft Excel yang kemudian dihitung menggunakan rumus KPI. Hasil pengolahan data sekunder menunjukkan bahwa variabel kinerja karyawan Food and Beverage Department di Hotel Pangeran Beach Padang secara keseluruhan memperoleh skor KPI sebesar 87 dari 100 bobot. Ditinjau dari indikator kualitas memperoleh skor sebesar 19 dari 20 bobot, indikator ketepatan waktu sebesar 10 dari 10 bobot, indikator inisiatif sebesar 17 dari 20 bobot, indikator kemampuan sebesar 16 dari 20 bobot dan indikator komunikasi sebesar 26 dari 30 bobot. Perlu adanya pelatihan yang diterima oleh karyawan dapat meningkatkan kinerja sehingga dengan ditingkatnya pelatihan maka kinerja karyawan yang ada pada Hotel dapat meningkat.
