Abstract

One of the problems faced by schizophrenic patients is social isolation. Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder characterized by deficiencies in thinking, perception, affect, and social behavior. Poor social skills are closely related to disease recurrence and patient discharge to hospital. Social isolation is a condition in which individuals experience withdrawal behavior, as well as a decrease or even being unable to interact with other people at all, especially to express and justify the negative and positive feelings they experience. social behavior shown in schizophrenic patients will usually withdraw from the environment and be passive in activities or daily activities. This is because schizophrenic patients lose their identity and experience role and function failures in interacting with society. The writing method used is a case study to explore the problem of the cost of life in patients. Collecting data using interviews and observation. Data collection tool or instrument uses an assessment format. The subject to be used is one patient with social isolation who is in the cempaka room. The client's medical diagnosis is paranoid schizophrenia. With diagnoses including social isolation, hallucinations,and low self-esteem. The results of the analysis show that intervention by implementing a strategy (SP) can reduce social signs and symptoms in patients after being given an intervention even though it requires a gradual process, but does not experience drastic changes that can slowly improve social skills. with other people.
