This research is a review of the literature on digital business as a subset of e-business, which has a significant impact on the fast-paced evolution of the business world today. Because of the rise of online shopping and selling, a wide range of products can now be viewed and pricing may be negotiated without having to travel to the location where the goods are sold. Detik.com, Vivanews.com, Tibunnews.com, Goals.com, Kapanlagi.com, tokobagus.com, online palasari, inexpensive online books, and various other media of various forms are a form of community search in a more ordered, efficient, and effective manner of living. The utilization of e-business in a business unit might result in profits or losses for that particular business unit. However, a closer examination reveals that the beneficial effects outnumber the negative effects. The poll results show that firms who use internet devices as a promotional medium have better sales growth than enterprises that employ traditional formats. Thousands of suppliers and millions of buyers are always available on the digital business market, allowing them to purchase goods that meet their needs. This situation demonstrates that digital business has evolved into a business that has a significant impact on entrepreneurship, resulting in a model and format that is significantly more flexible and accessible to all sectors of consumers, regardless of location.

The performance of an educational institution is considered to have a negative impact due to the high percentage of students who do not graduate on time. Therefore, the number of students must be calculated and anticipated, so this paper needs to propose a model for predicting student graduation rates and predicting the time of graduation for each student. The K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) method and algorithm were developed using Case-Based Reasoning (CBR). The research was conducted with training data taken from data from students who had graduated, and as a trial, the sixth-semester student data was used. The research attributes required to consist of the grade 1 to semester 5 of the achievement index (IPS) and the students' age. Model testing is carried out with four scenarios where the distribution of training data and testing data is also needed as support. The experimental results show that the stability of the data accuracy value on CBS using the KNN algorithm is found in the 90% training data scenario and 10% test data, namely 90.24% with the closest neighbors K = 5, K = 7, and K = 9. It can be concluded that the model. The resulting prediction system can predict whether students will graduate on time or not. This research will be helpful if implemented in higher education performance to increase student achievement to graduate on time.

Internet of things merupakan salah satu pilar dari Industri 4.0 sehingga kompetensi akan konsep dan praktiknya merupakan hal yang sangat berguna. Dunia pendidikan tidak bisa eksis tanpa alumni, namun keberadaan mereka seringkali terdokumentasi dengan buruk sehingga menimbulkan kesenjangan antara data alumni dan keadaan sebenarnya. Banyak program studi di Universitas Terbuka setiap tahun meluluskan ribuan mahasiswa. Karena UT saat ini belum memiliki portal alumni seperti kebanyakan universitas lainnya, sulit untuk mencari data dan informasi tentang alumni dan komunikasi antar alumni tidak berjalan dengan baik setelah lulus. agar alumni dapat berkomunikasi secara efektif dan bertukar informasi melalui Portal ini. Sehingga dengan adanya Portal ini alumni dapat berkomunikasi dengan baik dan dapat bertukar informasi. Saat ini Alumni UT hanya bertukar informasi melalui social media seperti WhatsApp Group, Facebook, dll. Dan hal tersebut belum bisa dikontrol oleh UT. Oleh karena hal tersebut diperlukan sebuah Portal yang mampu menjadi solusi dari permasalahan tersebut. Studi ini bertujuan untuk membuat sebuah Portal Alumni dengan penerapan Internet of Things dalam bentuk sebuah website online menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D). Pengembangan aplikasi dibatasi sampai dengan prototipe karena untuk penerapan diperlukan studi lebih lanjut.
