It is important to develop the creative thinking ability of elementary school students so they can tackle the challenges of today’s world. This skill can be enhanced through learning activities at school, particularly in subjects like mathematics. This study aimed to create motion graphics video teaching materials based on the CPA approach to help improve students’ creative thinking abilities. The 4-D model was used to develop these materials, which involves defining, designing, developing, and disseminating the materials. The experts used teaching materials assessment sheets and test items to evaluate the effectiveness of the materials. The results showed that mathematics teaching materials using motion graphics video teaching based on the CPA approach were successful in improving students’ creative thinking skills. These teaching materials can be used in elementary mathematics education and for further research purposes. Keywords: CPA approach, mathematical creative thinking ability, motion graphics video.

The learning outcomes of low non-curved geometric shapes are directly proportional to the low level of mathematical communication skills of non-curved geometric shapes. Apart from that, verbal ability is low if students are given questions that have different words in sentences from the previous practice questions, so they have difficulty solving the questions research aims to see the relationship between verbal abilities and Mathematical Communication Skills Build non-curved spaces. This Quantitative research method Correlational technique with variables verbal ability (X) and Mathematical Communication Skills Build non-curved spaces (Y). The research population was all students in class VIII SMPN & Kotabumi with a sample of 24 people. The results of the correlation analysis of verbal ability (X) with Mathematical Communication Skills Build non-curved spaces (Y) produced a correlation coefficient of rhitung 0.57 with rtabel = 0.40. Based on the calculation results, the value obtained is rhitung = 0.57 > rtabel = 0.40 so that H0 is rejected. This shows that there is a relationship between verbal ability and Mathematical Communication Skills Build non-curved spaces for class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Kotabumi North Lampung for the 2022/2023 academic year

Translasi dalam konteks representasi matematis merupakan proses penerjemahan dari satu bentuk representasi ke bentuk representasi lain tanpa mengubah makna dari objek yang direpresentasikan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pendahuluan yang bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana proses translasi representasi matematis siswa kelas VIII pada topik kubus dan balok. Metode kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk memberikan deskripsi mendalam mengenai proses translasi representasi matematis siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap siswa kelas VIII pada salah satu sekolah SMP di Kota Bekasi. Data diperoleh dari hasil tes berupa soal yang memuat topik kubus dan balok serta wawancara secara think aloud. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam menyelesaikan soal kubus dan balok siswa melalui 4 tahapan dalam proses translasi representasi matematis yaitu unpacking the source, preliminary coordination, constructing the target, dan determining equivalence. Dari hasil penelitian ini, ditemukan bahwa selain melalui 4 tahapan proses translasi representasi matematis tersebut ternyata siswa juga dapat melakukan refleksi terhadap hasil jawabannya.
