Abstract:Abstract. 1 Corinthians 8, as one of the most popular biblical texts, has been understood differently through different approaches. This paper also applied a different approach, namely Social Identity Theory (SIT), to offer a different interpretation of the text, especially in understanding the issue of food that has been offered to idols.
