Earthworms are currently in great demand for industrial and pharmaceutical needs, so it is necessary to increase the productivity of worms by breeders. This study aims to determine the effect of giving tofu pulp and coconut pulp on body weight gain and cocoon production of Eudrilus eugeniae worms. The object of this research is Eudrilus eugeniae which has been clit. This study was divided into two groups, namely control and treatment with six replications each so that there were 24th experimental units. In the control and treatment groups, the researchers included 10th Eudrilus eugeniae worms in each treatment in the form of a combination of tofu pulp and coconut pulp. Parameters observed were worm biomass and several cocoons. The data on the weight gain of the worms were analyzed using One Way Anova and then continued with the Duncan Multiple Test (DMRT) with significantly different results. Furthermore, data on the number of worm cocoons were analyzed using the Kruskal Wallis test. The results showed that the provision of tofu and coconut pulp had a significant effect on body weight gain and the production of Eudrilus eugeniae cocoons. There is an effect of giving tofu dregs and fermented coconut pulp on the increase in body mass of Eudrilus eugeniae worms as a conclusion.

Oithona sp. merupakan salah satu copepoda yang dapat digunakan sebagai pakan alami untuk larva ikan ataupun udang laut. Oithona sp. memiliki nilai nutrisi yang hampir sebanding dengan Artemia. Oithona sp. memiliki kandungan protein sebesar 69,24%. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengkaji pengaruh perbedaan kandungan protein pada pakan organik terhadap performa pertumbuhan Oithona sp., dan mengetahui perlakuan dari kandungan protein pakan organik yang memberikan performa pertumbuhan Oithona sp. terbaik. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode eksperimen menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan. Perlakuan yang dilakukan yaitu pemberian pakan organik dengan kandungan protein 25% (A), 30% (B), 35% (C) dan 40% (D). Kultur Oithona sp. dilakukan di dalam 14 toples plastik bervolume 9 L yang diisi air media sebanyak 2,5 L. Pemeliharaan dilakukan selama 20 hari. Pada setiap kultur Oithona sp. dalam toples plastik diberikan pakan sebanyak 50% dari sel mikroalga Chaetoceros calcitrans dan 50% pakan organik yang telah difermentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kandungan protein pakan organik berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap pertumbuhan Oithona sp. (P<0,01) namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap produksi telur Oithona sp. (P>0,05). Pemberian 30% protein pada pakan organik merupakan dosis terbaik dalam penelitian ini. Kepadatan total Oithona sp. dengan pemberian kandungan protein pakan organik 30 % mencapai 76,5±3,1 ind/ml (terdiri dari stadia nauplii sebanyak 35,0±2,6 ind/ml, stadia copepodit sebanyak 12,8±1,3 ind/ml, dan stadia dewasa 21,0±1,6 ind/ml) dan rata-rata produksi telur sebanyak 3,2±0,3 butir/ind

The purpose of this study was to evaluate nutritional content of tofu waste mixed with carrot juice and fermented with Saccharomyces spp. (TWCF), so that it has potential as a feed supplement that is rich in β-carotene, high in protein and lysine, and contains probiotics. The laying hens (n=192, 70 weeks old) were randomly allotted into 4 diets groups. The hens were fed diets i) without TWCF as a control diets (TF0), ii) supplemented with 2% TWCF (B); iii) supplemented with 4% TWCF (C); and iv) supplemented with 6% TWCF (D). Inclusion of TWCF in diets increased nutrient digestibility (DM, OM, and CP) significantly (P≤0.05). Fermentation of TWC with YC (TWCF) can increase (P≤0.05) nutrient of TWC especially: CP, Lysine, and BC. Inclusion up to 2% TWCF can be used in laying hen diets to improve (P≤0.05) feed digestibility (DM, OM, CP), egg production, eggshell thickness, yolk color, BC, and yolk cholesterol. It is concluded that dietary supplementation of laying hens with TWCF can increase hen-day production, egg shell thickness, BC, and egg yolk color.
