This research aims to determine the validity and practicality of LKPD based on experimental methods on simple harmonic vibration material in physics learning at SMAN 4 Pekanbaru. The problem in this research is how to develop teaching materials such as LKPD using an experimental method approach so that they meet validity and practicality standards, so that they are suitable for use as teaching materials in physics learning at SMAN 4 Pekanbaru. The development model in this research adopts the ADDIE development model proposed by Branch, with three stages, namely Analysis, Design, and Development. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis, namely by calculating the validity score of each LKPD instrument and then drawing conclusions. Validation was carried out by 3 expert lecturers in the PMIPA department as validators. The validation results for the pendulum experimental LKPD got a score of 3.85, the spring experimental LKPD got a score of 3.92 and the restoring force LKPD got a score of 3.89 in the valid category. Meanwhile, the practicality was carried out by 3 teachers and 10 students at SMAN 4 Pekanbaru with the practicality results according to the teachers on each LKPD getting a score of 3.87 each and the practicality results according to students on the pendulum experiment LKPD getting a score of 3.66, the spring experimental LKPD got a score of 3.72, and the restoring force LKPD got a score of 3.67 in the practical category. So it can be stated that the LKPD based on experimental methods on simple harmonic vibration material is valid and practical.
