Pangandaran is an environment-based tourist destination which is quite popular in Indonesia, but Pangandaran has a high potential for disaster. The purpose of this article is to find out how the efforts made by the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Pangandaran Regency to increase public understanding of disaster through educational tours to schools. This study uses descriptive methods that are supported by qualitative and quantitative data as reinforcement. The collection of qualitative data is carried out through the following techniques: 1) Key Informant Interview. This interview comprises a series of open-ended questions conducted on individuals who are considered to have knowledge and experience regarding education, tourism programs in the community regarding disaster mitigation; 2) Direct observation which is carried out through field trips and to community activities is in line with the research objectives. Data collected in the form of information on geographical, socioeconomic conditions, available resources, and ongoing program activities. The results of the study illustrate how the role of disaster education is packaged under the name of Disaster Education Tourism Goes To School (WEB GTS) to build a safety and resilience culture in society. The provision of disaster education to school children aims to provide them with sufficient skills and knowledge to manage disasters. With the support of sufficient knowledge and a supportive environment, children have the potential to become agents who are able to do independent rescue and can be a media for transferring disaster knowledge to their immediate environment, especially in the family.

PENGANTARSebagai salah satu dari beberapa negara yang terletak di kawasan Zona Seismik Asia Tenggara, Indonesia adalah salah satu negara yang paling aktif aktivitas seismiknya di dunia. Dikelilingi oleh lempeng Indo-Australia dan Pelat Laut Philipina yang berada di bawah lempeng ABSTRACTPacitan is an area that is prone to earthquakes. Pacitan area in terms of the geological conditions of the area potentially affected by the threat of earthquakes, both centered in the sea (subduction zones) and on the ground in the form of active faults. The method used is the active participation and interviews. The process of detection as well as records of earthquakes assisted using Software SeisComP3. On display there SeisComP3 Indonesia map with symbols of the triangle which is the station that placed their vibration detectors of earthquakes throughout Indonesia. Based on the data of earthquakes during the last 6 months, have occurred 15 earthquakes in Pacitan and the surrounding area. An earthquake with the greatest power in the area around Pacitan during the period February -August 2016 occurred on the date February 25, 2016 at 11:35:16 PM by Magnitude 5.3 at a depth of 10 km and a location in the south of Java. In general, the whole area Pacitan have a moderate to high intensity earthquake. ABSTRAKPacitan merupakan daerah yang rawan terhadap bencana gempa bumi. Daerah Pacitan ditinjau dari kondisi geologi merupakan daerah yang berpotensi terkena ancaman gempa bumi, baik yang berpusat di laut (zona subduksi) maupun di darat berupa sesar aktif. Metode yang digunakan yaitu partisipasi aktif dan wawancara. Proses deteksi serta pencatatan gempa bumi dibantu menggunakan Software SeisComp3. Pada tampilan SeisComp3 terdapat peta Indonesia dengan simbol-simbol segitiga yang merupakan stasiun yang ditempatkan alat pendeteksi adanya getaran gempa bumi di seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Berdasarkan data gempa bumi selama 6 bulan terakhir, pernah terjadi 15 kali gempa bumi di wilayah Pacitan dan sekitarnya. Gempa bumi dengan kekuatan terbesar di sekitar wilayah Pacitan selama periode bulan Februari -Agustus 2016 terjadi pada tangal 25 Februari 2016 pukul 11:35:16 PM dengan Magnitude 5.3 pada kedalaman 10 km dan lokasi di Laut Selatan Jawa. Pada umumnya seluruh wilayah Pacitan memiliki intensitas gempa sedang hingga tinggi.

Natural disaster happens quite frequently in Indonesia. The Government has attempted to tackle natural disaster by developing disaster mitigation mainstreaming plan in almost every aspect of the country's development fields, including in education. However, early childhood education remains overlooked in the discussion pertaining the natural disaster. Using a literature review approach, this paper aims to elaborate why early childhood education needs to be included in the nation's disaster mitigation mainstreaming program. The finding of this paper is expected to illuminate how early childhood education program should be designed in order to be responsive with the natural disaster.
