Abstract:Botryococcus braunii (Chlorophyta) is a green microalga known for producing hydrocarbons and exopolysaccharides. Improving the biomass productivity of B. braunii and hence, the productivity of the hydrocarbons and of the exopolysaccharides, will make B. braunii more attractive for industries.
