“…NAFLD is an inclusive term referring to the full spectrum of diseases from fatty infiltration of the liver, typically more than 5% of the liver analyzed using imaging, direct quantification, or histological estimation [1]. Because obesity is strongly correlated with NAFLD, and the obese pediatric population has increased, the prevalence of NAFLD has increased and has become the most common cause of chronic pediatric liver disease in developed countries [2].
