These neoplasms are very rare in paediatric age, and only squamous cell carcinoma and epithelial-myoepithelial carcinoma have been reported [4, 27, 42]. However, in our series, an accurate preoperative cytological diagnosis was rendered in all the 5 cases, and subsequently confirmed by the histological examination of the surgical samples, with a diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of 100%.…”
