Pedati Model Online Learning in University

Abstract: Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world, various changes have occurred in the world of education. Teachers are required to be able to develop online learning so that learning activities can run smoothly. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of online learning in universities. The research subjects were lecturers totalling 22 people. The research object includes the effectiveness of online learning programs in terms of context, input, process, and product. The approach used in this study… Show more

“…Online learning that applies the PEDATI pattern requires students to watch post-teaching material quizzes. The quizzes given aim to encourage understanding of the material and improve the quality and quantity of learning (Astawan et al, 2021;Chaeruman, 2018;Riatun & Alvin, 2023). However, students see that there needs to be readjustments related to the questions in the quiz.…”

“…UDL applies a blended learning scheme that combines both synchronous and asynchronous learning which adopts the PEDATI Concept (Learn, explore, apply, and evaluate). The PEDATI Concept is merged into an asynchronous learning model that includes text, audio, visual, animation, and simulation which emphasizes gamification in order to create a structure and fun learning atmosphere (Astawan et al, 2021). The learning model applied in the online learning system is expected to accommodate the needs of both theoretical and practicum course materials.…”

“…Another study states that the addition of e-learning modules will make students more engaged with the content and more actively involved in independent learning (Logan, Johnson & Worsham, 2021). Another study also states that the SEIE e-learning model is very good and effective (Astawan et al, 2021). Online learning utilizing Undiksha's E-Learning in the Physical Education, Health, and Recreation study program was beneficial during the covid-19 pandemic (Satyawan, Wahjoedi & Swadesi, 2021).…”

“…The SEIE model is one of the E-learning models that is employed. The study, explore, implement, and evaluate is the acronym for the SEIE model (Astawan, Widiana & Arafik, 2021;Ayu, Manik & Simamora, 2020). "Formulating learning outcomes, mapping and organizing learning resources, selecting and determining synchronous and asynchronous learning activities, creating asynchronous learning activities, and designing synchronous learning activities" are the five primary steps in the SEIE model (Chaeruman, 2019).…”
