Abstract: Pearson marrow pancreas syndrome (PS) is a congenital multisystem disorder characterized by sideroblastic anemia, pancreatic insufficiency, metabolic acidosis, and other defects, and is caused by mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) deletions.
