“…The influence of Ivan P. Pavlov′s work on 20th century psychology and psychiatry (Ruiz, Sánchez, & de la Casa, 2003a), as well as the impact of his ideas on the research of William H. Gantt and Howard S. Liddell have been examined (Ruiz, Sánchez, & de la Casa 2002a, 2003b, 2005; Sánchez & Ruiz, 2008). In addition, the interest aroused among American psychoanalysts by the research on experimental neuroses carried out by Gantt and Liddell has been studied (Ruiz, 2009; Sánchez & Díaz, 2009), while others investigated the influence of Pavlov's reflex theory in Spain (Bandrés & Llavona, 2003). A monographic issue of the Spanish Journal of Psychology was devoted to the centennial of Pavlov's lecture at the 14th International Congress of Medicine in Madrid, 1903.…”
