Abstract:Cardiogenic shock is the most frequent shock in cardiac intensive care, and cardiac dysfunction and sever hypoxia are often seen in critically ill patients. Inadequate organ and tissue perfusion and hypoxia result in anaerobic metabolism with hyperlactatemia and oxygen debt accumulation.
