Patriotisme Bulaenna Parangia: Akar Historis Penguatan Komitmen Kebangsaan Masyarakat Lokal

Abstract

Numerous patriotic ceremonies took place but left a little lasting impact on society. Some are only mentioned in history books, while others are misplaced in the creases of old documents that can no longer be read due to weathering, destruction, and extinction through time. The Bulaenna Parangia manuscript, which has been read and found to have good meaning and content, is a tale about the bravery of the Selayar people, passed down through sinrilik songs. The heroism, loyalty, and sacrifice of Raja Tanete, also known by his title Bulaenna Parangia, are described through sinrilik as a source of living inspiration for the people of Selayar. It is discovered through a study of the patriotic principles contained in the book. A similar incident is also described through the sacrifices of the young people who died in 1946 when driving out the Dutch colonialists from Bumi Selayar. The monarchs' determination to cede their authority to the Unitary State of the Indonesian Republic resulted from their courage and sacrifice. As a natural outgrowth and manifestation of the patriotism of its forebears, the series of offerings of bravery, sacrifice, and loyalty expresses the local community's commitment to its national identity. Bulaenna Parangia, who is also willing to give her body and soul to defend the country she adores, is an example of this commitment.
