The placement of a penile prosthesis has been considered the most reliable and effective treatment for erectile dysfunction in men with failed medical treatment. The 2-piece system eliminates a need for separate reservoir making the surgery easy for the treating surgeon/urologist. We report the use of this two-piece prosthesis in a 50-year-old patient with erectile dysfunction and describe the surgical steps of the same.

ConclusionsPI surgery does not significantly decrease penile size compared to the preoperative assessment. The outcome was not affected by co-morbidities. The preoperative length and girth correlated well with the immediate postoperative erect penis, although girth was not necessarily comparable in this series of patients measured under anaesthesia. Recording penile dimensions in the clinic and agreeing these with patients' preoperatively may be a way of improving satisfaction levels with this surgery.
