Колоректальный рак (Крр) является основной проблемой современного здравоохранения. по данным вОЗ, заболевае-мость составляет более 1 500 000 новых случаев рака в год, а смертность превышает 500 000. в 80-90% случаев Крр возникает в последовательности «аденоматозный полип -рак». в россии доступны следующие методы скрининга рака прямой и ободочной кишки: анализ кала на скрытую кровь, гибкая сигмоскопия, фиброколоноскопия, ирригоскопия ме-тодом двойного контрастирования толстой кишки и их комбинация. Особое внимание уделено относительно новой мето-дике скрининга Крр -Кт-колонографии (метод неинвазивной диагностики, который достоверно определяет клинически значимые образования толстой и прямой кишки). изложены техника ее проведения, методы подготовки толстой кишки к исследованию, показания и противопоказания, а также интерпретация полученных данных. Ключевые слова: колоректальный рак, скрининг, виртуальная колоноскопия.Colorectal carcinoma (CrC) is a major public health problem today; according to the World health organization data, there are annually more than 1,500,000 new cancer cases and over 500,000 deaths. CrC occurs in the adenomatous polyp-carcinoma sequence in 80-90% of cases. Methods of screening for colorectal cancer, such as fecal occult blood test, flexible sigmoidoscopy, fibrocolonoscopy, double contrasting irrigoscopy, and their combination, are available in russia. particular attention is given to the relatively novel colorectal cancer screening option Ct colonography (a noninvasive diagnostic method that significantly identifies clinically relevant colorectal masses). its techniques, methods for preparing the large bowel to be examined, indications and contraindications, as well as interpretation of the findings were described.

In 2006, over 55,000 Americans are expected to die of colorectal cancer (CRC) (1). It is estimated that there is over a 5% chance that an American will develop CRC in their lifetime and over a 2% chance that an American will die from CRC (2). Fortunately, in most cases, controlling CRC is possible with the proper screening methods and the subsequent removal of suspicious polyps, adenomas, and carcinomas. If CRC is detected at an early stage, the 5-year survival rate is 90%. Unfortunately, less than 40% of colorectal cancers are detected at an early stage. Once the cancer has developed distant metastases, the 5-year survival rate is less than 10% (2).From 1998 to 2002, the incidence rate of CRC decreased by 1.8% per year, which is believed to have occurred due to increased awareness of the importance of CRC screening and consequent polyp removal (2). However, CRC is still predicted to cause about 10% of all cancer-related deaths in the United States in 2006. Relatively accurate screening methods are available to patients, but patient participation in CRC screening continues to be low. Computed tomography colonography (CTC) is a relatively new screening technology that aims to achieve a high patient acceptance, diagnostic accuracy, and screening effectiveness thereby decreasing mortality rates due to CRC.
