Abstract:Adherence to acid suppression therapy is essential in the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Current guidelines suggest that proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) or histamine-2 receptor antagonists (H2RAs) are the mainstays of therapy.
