Paternalism inChina Daily’s coverage of Chinese Muslims (2001–2015)

Abstract: This article explores the media representation of Muslims using critical discourse analysis (CDA). It emphasises the discursive construction of governmental paternalism that forms the dominant ideological disposition of China Daily’s (CD) coverage.
