Abstract: The rate and extent of hydrolysis of herbage structural carbohydrates in cell-wall preparations have been measured using either Trichoderma viride cellulase plus hemicellulase or rumen hemicellulase and neutraldetergentextracted tissue as cell-wall preparation.Hydrolysis rates for preparations from ground or macerated grass were the same for the grasses used.
