In this paper, based on the idea of passivitybased control, a new stable condition of the passivity-based controller for induction motor, which is wider than the present stable condition, is presented and proven by the different choices of the "workless forces" and state variables. The problem that a big proportional coefficient, which is required for the PBC for IM when the machine is running in high-speed region, will make the system oscillate because of the time-discrete and the restriction of system bandwidth is solved. Based on the some academic analyses, the forms of the description of the "workless forces" are given. The results of simulation and experiment validate the stable condition proposed in this paper once more.
