Particle emission fromAs*71produced via

Abstract: Charged particles from protons up to projectile particles were measured from the systems Ne+ 'V and ' N+ Fe at 530 MeV bombarding energy forming the same composite "As . The data show entrance channel effects with respect to spectral distributions and fragment abundances. The data analysis in terms of different models indicates a common reaction mechanism for all particles produced.PACS number(s): 23.70. +j, 25.70.z

“…In previous studies performed by our group a much more pronounced structure was observed and attributed to stem from a projectile-like system [35,42]. However, in these systems the most forward measuring angle was much closer or even below the grazing angle than is the case for the present study.…”

“…To these results a smooth curve was fitted: a(ǫ) = 1 + (0.006677 ± 0.000223)ǫ 3/2 which is also shown in the figure. It is interesting to note that the present result is undistinguishable for ǫ ≤ 200MeV from those obtained for 15 N and 20 Ne induced reactions at approximately the same energy per nucleon [35]. We make use of this solution for a(ǫ) to extract angle integrated cross section from which total cross section were obtained by numerical integration.…”

“…Signals of each ∆E and E detectors as well as their sum were fed through standard electronics to analog-to-digital converters and then stored on magnetic tape in an event-mode type of recording for later off-line analysis. The procedure to balance the summation amplifiers and other details of logic circuits are reported in our previous publications [22,23]. A typicaltime spectrum for the coincidence between a pair of charged fragments, c 1 and c 2 , detected at angles, θ 1 = 12 degrees and θ 2 = −10 degrees, is shown in Fig.3.…”
