Partial Pancreatectomy With Splenectomy Is the Best Option of Treatment for Infected Acute Necrotising Pancreatitis: A Prospective Study

Abstract: BACKGROUNDPancreatectomy for severe acute necrotising pancreatitis has been associated with more mortality and hence replaced by piecemeal debridement and toileting either by the open or the laparoscopic technique. We had reported the results of delibera te subtotal pancreatectomy with splenectomy for infected pancreatic necrosis in acute pancreatitis.
