“…For the protonated lysyl side-chain, values of C p ðlysH þ Þ at all temperatures in the range T = (288.15 to 328.15) K were obtained by the addition to the quantities fC p ðlysH þ ÞÀ C p;2 ðH þ Þg reported previously [8], a value for C p;2 ðH þ Þ of À63. 5 ± 5 J AE K À1 AE mol À1 , which is an average of the four values determined previously [31] at T = (288.15, 298.15, 313.15, and 328.15) K.…”

“…In recent work [31], single ion partial molar volumes at infinite dilution over the temperature range T = (288.15 to 328.15) K were derived using an extrathermodynamic assumption based on tetraphenylphosphonium tetraphenylborate (4), and the partial molar expansibilities at infinite dilution and T = 298.15 K for some N-acetyl amino acid amides in aqueous solution (TPTB) as the reference electrolyte [31,32]. The values of V 2 ðH þ Þ used in equation (11) were those derived using this reference electrolyte method [31]. The values of V 2 ðHClÞ at the temperatures used in this work were those calculated using a polynomial in temperature that was derived [31] from an analysis of the most reliable V 2 ðT Þ data for HCl taken from the literature.…”

“…Despite the numerous efforts to determine the individual cationic and anionic contributions to the partial molar vol- 27,28], the split is still uncertain, resulting in suggested V 2 (H + , aq.) values of (À5 to À6) cm 3 AE mol À1 with high uncertainties ±(1-2) cm 3 AE mol À1 .…”
