Parkinson’s disease influences the perioperative risk profile in surgery

Abstract

Concomitant Parkinson's disease is a significant factor of perioperative morbidity in surgical patients, especially of patients treated in the trauma unit. Perioperative morbidity in PD patients may be influenced by early diagnostic and therapeutic measures.

“…Ezt a tényt mások is megerősítet-ték, és azt találták, hogy az aspirációs pneumonia, húgyúti fertőzések, bakteriális infekció elektív colonmű-tétek esetén 3,8-szeres, cholecystectomia esetén 2-szeres, radikális prostatectomia esetén 1,7-szeres valószínű-ségnövekedéssel fordul elő Parkinson-kóros betegekben a kontrollpopulációhoz képest [6]. Mueller összefoglaló-ja szerint a Parkinson-kóros betegek átlagos perioperatív morbiditása több mint 4-szerese az átlagos perioperatív morbiditásnak [7]. A fentiek alapján szükségesnek ítél-tük meg, hogy egy olyan interdiszciplináris szemléletű összefoglalót készítsünk, amelyben felhívjuk a fi gyelmet a Parkinson-kórban szenvedő betegek gyógyszeres és nem gyógyszeres ellátásának legfontosabb szempontjaira a perioperatív szakban.…”
