“…Segundo Saloviita, Pirttimaa e Kontu (2016) as medidas coercitivas mais comuns em relação a crianças com deficiência poderiam ser categorizadas em: "(I) procedimentos aversivos ou causar dor ou lesão na criança); (II) contenção ou restrição da liberdade de movimento; (III) isolar ou colocar a criança em uma local do qual não pode sair"(Saloviita et al, 2016, p. 11, tradução da autora). Em pesquisa com 246 pais de crianças com quadros relacionados a DI, estes autores identificaram que 54 (22%) aplicavam procedimentos coercitivos(Saloviita et al, 2016), sendo a prática mais frequente a restrição da liberdade de movimento da criança (n=39; 15,9%)(Saloviita et al, 2016). Porém, vale salientar que 18 participantes (7,3%) reportaram punir fisicamente a criança(Saloviita et al, 2016).…”
