“…The CCI has an internal consistency alpha of .76 (Switzer et al, 1998). Client perceptions of provider cultural competence are associated with client engagement (Anderson & Tulloch-Reid, 2019; Harrison et al, 2019), including attitudinal engagement (satisfaction), relational engagement (Anderson & Tulloch-Reid, 2019; So et al, 2020), and behavioral engagement (i.e., program completion [Anderson & Tulloch-Reid, 2019] as well as the achievement of clinical goals [Damashek et al, 2012]). “…Future studies could also benefit from considering a more comprehensive, multidimensional conceptualization of treatment engagement. Our measure of parent engagement addressed attendance and adherence but could usefully be expanded to integrate issues such as knowledge or understanding of the treatment and favorable expectancies for its effectiveness (Becker et al, 2019), as well as qualitative markers of active participation (not solely attendance) in sessions for parents (So et al, 2020).…”

“…Research on Legacy enhanced and adapted for Spanish-speakers ( Legacy Spanish ) is underway. 32,33 Mixed-method findings indicate that Legacy Spanish was associated with higher participant satisfaction and social support than the English implementation 32 and maternal report of positive parenting changes 33 ; forthcoming research on Legacy Spanish program outcomes may provide additional information on for whom and under what conditions the intervention works. Furthermore, we are limited in our understanding of different patterns of child outcomes by site.…”
