Parenchyma-sparing pancreatectomies for benign or border-line tumors of the pancreas

Abstract: Standard pancreatic resections, such as pancreaticoduodenectomy, distal pancreatectomy, or total pancreatectomy, result in an important loss of normal pancreatic parenchyma and may cause impairment of exocrine and endocrine function.
