Parathyroid Surgery in the Elderly

Abstract: The prevalence of primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) will increase with the growth of the elderly population. Elderly patients primarily present with nonclassic symptoms of PHPT that can sometimes be missed in favor of other diagnoses.
