Parathyroid carcinoma presenting as hyperosmolar coma

Abstract

Summary A case of hyperosmolar coma is described in a patient with maturity onset diabetes, who was subsequently shown to have a parathyroid carcinoma. The pathogenesis of the hyperosmolar state is discussed.
