Abstract: Idiopathic inflammatory myopathies are neuromuscular disorders characterised by muscle weakness and histologically inflammation within the muscle. Dermatomyositis and polymyositis are highly associated with a wide range of cancers, especially in antitranscriptional intermediary factor-1 (TIF1)-gamma-positive myositis.
