Parametric Generation of Propagating Spin Waves in Ultrathin Yttrium Iron Garnet Waveguides

Abstract: The back‐cover picture, referring to article number http://doi.wiley.com/10.1002/pssr.202000011 by Morteza Mohseni et al., shows a spin‐wave waveguide whose magnetization is excited by the microwave antenna on top. The spin‐wave dynamics are probed via the Brillouin light‐scattering spectroscopy (BLS) laser probe. The spheres demonstrate the scattering of a photon (wp) to two counter‐propagating magnons (wp/2).
