Parametric and non-parametric tests for the evaluation of interlaminar fracture toughness of polymer composites

Abstract: This study is based on the statistical analysis of interlaminar fracture toughness of various laminated polymer composites used in aerospace applications through parametric and non-parametric tests. Tukey’s, Dunkan’s, two-sample t-test, and Kolmogorov–Smirnov tests are used to analyze tensile mode interlaminar fracture toughness of various fiber-reinforced polymer composites obtained by beam theory, modified beam theory, and modified compliance calibration method. Among the studied composite samples, modified … Show more

“…After completing the previous five stages, this stage is the final stage of this research, which aims to test the effectiveness of Muthola'ah learning using the textbooks that have been developed. The effectiveness test will be carried out with the T-test, the paired sample test (Yavuz & Utku, 2021). However, before carrying out this test, a homogeneity test will be carried out, which functions to analyze whether the data is homogeneous, and a normality test will be used to analyze whether the data is normally distributed.…”

“…Because of these outstanding properties, woven composites are widely applied in aerospace components. 1 For the preparation of large-size and special-shaped composite structural components, ply stacking is a very mainstream method at present. Experts and scholars have also done a lot of research on the mechanical properties of laminated composites, such as tensile behaviour, 2 flexural behaviour, 3 interlaminar behaviour, 4,5 impact behaviour 6 etc.…”
