Parameters analysis and design of transverse connection strengthening prestressed concrete T‐girder bridge

Abstract: Transverse connection strengthening prestressed concrete T‐girder bridge is an effective method to enhance the integrality of the T‐girder bridge. In a previous work, a new kind of diaphragm transverse connections (DTCs) has been proposed and its validity has been proved. Aiming to study the influential parameters for the strengthening effect, finite element analysis is carried out based on a 30 m prestressed concrete T‐girder bridge in this study. The considered influential parameters are T‐girder spacing, T‐… Show more

“…The adjustment factors of the tandem and UDL systems were one. 36 For the CC, 35 the lane load comprised one concentrated (P k ) and one uniform line load (q k ) were 280 kN and 10.5 kN/m, respectively, as shown in Figure 11b.…”

“…The cross section of the T-girder bridge model is shown in Figure 3. The investigation showed that the most excellent strengthening effect was that the trusses were installed at mid-span, and the trusses of decreasing spacing can improve the mechanical properties of the T-girder bridge (Chen et al, 2021). Therefore, two composite trusses were symmetrically installed at mid-span in this paper, and the spacing was 600 mm ( L /10) which was designed according to the reference (Lee et al, 2020).…”
