Parameter optimization of harmonic gear drive based on hybrid genetic algorithm

Abstract: Addressing problems of larger volume of harmonic gear in the conventional design, in this paper, a mathematical model of optimization with hybrid discrete variables is proposed by taking the modulus of harmonic gear transmission parameters m , the length of flexspline L , wall thickness  and tooth width of flexspline b as design variables, and the sum of volume of circular spline and flexspline as an objective function to be minimized.
